PLAN OF THE DAY & TRAIL DESCRIPTION

Please read attentively!

We will meet at 7:30 am on Saturday 28th of July, in front of the old building of Prague Main Train Station (Fantova budova). Click HERE for a photo of the meeting point.

Please be in time because the bus won’t be able to park at the pick-up location for very long! Journey planner will help you to plan your morning travel.

The bus journey to the hike’s starting point in Hrensko takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

In order to accommodate hikers of different abilities, we offer two hike options:

STANDARD HIKE – Easy to Medium difficulty

About 12 km of hiking plus 1 km long boat ride along the Edmund’s Gorge

You will see:

Pravcicka Gate

Gabrielina stezka

Edmund’s Gorge

EXTENDED HIKE –  Medium difficulty

The full loop as designed by the count Edmund Clary-Aldringen in the 1880’s!

About 15 km of hiking plus two boat rides. A relatively brisk pace will be required to complete the route in time (as a delay due to waiting for boat rides is likely).

Additional cost: + 60 CZK in cash for the boat ride in the Wild Gorge (payable on the day).

You will see:

Gabrielina stezka

Wild Gorge (1. boat ride)

Edmund’s Gorge (2. boat ride)

• Both options include about 2 km long ascent to the Pravcicka gate (about 200 meters of altitude gain).

• Sturdy walking shoes with good tread are required for both hikes.

LUNCH

We’ll have a picnic lunch. Bring some food to share if you want to. I’m sure it will be appreciated :-)

Expected arrival back to Prague is 9:00 pm but a delay is possible. Don’t plan anything important after the trip!

The price includes comfortable transport by a private bus, admission fees to the Pravcicka gate and the boat ride along the Edmund’s gorge of Kamenice and the assistance of 2 guides.

Food&drink is not included.
