Join us for a full-day scenic hike in one of the most beautiful areas near Prague – Cesky kras Protected Landscape Area. You’ll enjoy spectacular views and discover a lovely place for summer swimming!

LOGISTICS & PLAN OF THE DAY
We’re meeting on Sunday July 15th at 8:45 AM at Prague Main Train Station (at our usual place in front of the ticket office, see the photo below)
We should arrive at the hike’s starting point around 10:00.
Lunch: We will have a picnic lunch around 13:00 at a scenic spot. Make yourself a packed lunch and don’t forget to bring plenty of water!
In the afternoon, we will stop by an old quarry lake. The water is very clear and refreshingly cold. Swimming in the lake is NOT officially allowed, however locals regularly swim here. If you decide to follow their example, be aware you do so at your own risk!
We’re going to stop by the lake for about an hour.
We should arrive back to Prague Main Station around 18:00.
DIFFICULTY: Medium
About 15 km/9 miles of hiking with some steep ascents (in total 450 meters/1500 ft of vertical gain). Manageable by a healthy city-dwellers/office workers who are used to walking.
BRING WITH YOU
Comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, hat and sunscreen, enough food and water to last you throughout the day.
For the lake (optional): Swim and beach wear, flip flops, a pack of cards or a book might be come handy too.

Includes round-trip train fare and myself as your local guide. Train fare for dogs is not included.
Children under 16 accompanied by adult pay 100 CZK (in cash on the day)
