HIGHLIGHTS
- Canoeing on the lower Luznice river. This part of the river flows faster and you will enjoy running rapids and weirs.

Ahoy Discoverers!
It is becoming our tradition to spend the first weekend in June canoeing on the Lužnice river in south Bohemia. Welcome to the 3rd year!

LOGISTICS
We will meet at 8:00 am on Saturday June 27 at the Prague Main Railway Station. See the picture below.
The train journey to Tábor, takes about an hour and half. We will start the day by a cca 3 km/2 miles long walk across the city to the boat collection point. It will be a nice opportunity to see this lovely historical town. However, don’t expect more than a flying visit.
Saturday lunch
We will stop at one of the river side restaurants. These are typical Czech establishments so apart from fried cheese the selection of vegetarian food is limited. Feel free to bring your own packed lunch.
Saturday dinner
We will complete the Saturday part of the route around 6:00 pm and the dinner will be served around 7:00 pm. The dinner is included and you will be able to choose from 2-3 options (one will be vegetarian).
On Sunday, the end point of our canoeing journey will be Bechyně. It is a very pretty, historical town, built on top of a rock above the river, with Castle, cute main square and town houses etc. You’ll love it!
Expected return to Prague is on Sunday at 20:30.
DIFFICULTY: Easy to Medium
About 28 km of canoeing in two days – manageable by a healthy city-dweller/office worker who is used to moderate level of physical activity.
Both beginners and experienced canoers will enjoy the trip!
We’re going to use 2-seat canoes.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
Pack light, because you’ll need to squeeze all your belongings in a water-proof barrel. There will be one barrel per boat (2 people). All your stuff should fit into a 20-25 l size backpack. If you find it difficult to pack into such a small allowance, contact me. I’ll advise you.
You’ll need to wear shoes for walking in water (ideally sandals you can wear for walking too), sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent and bathing suit/swimming trunks.

Includes train fares, equipment rental, camp site accommodation (in cabins for 4 people with bathroom in the main building), Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast, myself as your guide and organizer, mandatory Travel Agency Insurance and a photo report.
