Ahoj Discoverers!

 

I’d like to invite you to a two-day canoeing trip on the Vltava river. We are going to take advantage of the less busy season to enjoy the tranquil section from Český Krumlov to Boršov.

 

The river runs here in a deeply cut valley surrounded by woods and uninterrupted by weirs.

 

LOGISTICS

 

We will meet at 9:00 AM in front of the main ticket office at the Prague Main Railway Station.

Expected return to Prague is on Sunday at 20:00. As always, a train can be delayed.

 

DIFFICULTY: Medium

About 32 km of canoeing in two days – manageable by a healthy city-dweller/office worker who is used to moderate level of physical activity.

 

The river is easy (ZWB to WWI) and there are only 2 weirs. We’re going to use 2-seat inflatable “Pálava” canoes which are more stable than plastic canoes like “Vydra” or “Samba”.

 

Hopefully, the weather will be nice but the trip will go ahead even if it is cold and rainy.

 

You will be rewarded by a very special experience!

What to bring with you

  • Shoes for walking in water
  • Raincoat (poncho-type is practical for canoeing)
  • Hat
  • Warm clothes for the evening/night
  • Toiletries, towel
  • Insect repellent

 

Put all your staff to a small compact bag – we will put all our belongings into water-proof barrels and they are not very large.

 

Keep your phone in a waterproof case and have glasses on a string while on the river!

 

PRICE: 2250 CZK

Includes train fare both ways, equipment rental, accommodation in 4-bed cabins (with heating and bedding) and myself as your guide and organizer.

 

Food and drink is not included.
